MITHUNA HOOKS
Our Mithuna series of objects is inspired by and takes its name from a term that exists across many ancient and contemporary South Asian languages and traditions, embodying various related meanings such as 'a couple' in Sanskrit or 'a male and female pair' in Pali. While it is thought to correspond to Gemini in Vedic astrology, Mithuna refers to a couple in union in the Jain tradition.
TRANSLATION BOOKMARK
With patterns that are rooted in British military regalia as interpreted by the Asafo warrior groups of Ghana, our inlayed bookmarks are punctuated with hand-dyed wood. They embody communication across oceans, centuries, experience, and materiality.
BAWA CANDLE
This architect-inspired candle takes cues from Geoffrey Bawa's eclectic country estate on the island of Sri Lanka.
